    New times last night

well last night i met Freemasson at the track for a little fun...it was pretty empty so we got a few runs in...my best of the night was a 7.63 @89.62mph with a 1.66 60'....next time out im pulling some weight out of him see if i cant pull me some 7.4's

the night did come with a small mishap though...i had a nitrous back fire that blew my CAI to hell...even descreened my MAF for me lol...i will make a trip to Lowe's here in a bit for some new rubber boots and hopefully the intake isnt cracked...what had happened was i usually do my burnout on the first stage and when i turned it on and hit it the pressure was to high and the nitrous solenoid was locked so it didnt spray and shot race gas only into the intake and pow...oopsy....still drove him home from Redline to mesquite...i love my truck

Good luck with the intake manifold. There are a few guy on here sitting on the late model DBW manifolds, you might ought to get you one to set in the closet for the day you blow one to smithereens!

Yep, mine blew apart twice in one night.

I hope my new system is a lot more stable considering how many $$$$ I've thrown at it.

On an additional note, I purchased a DynotuneNitrous FPSS and air/fuel ratio shutoff module to read the O2s and shut the nitrous down should it lean out.

Its strange that it backfired due to too much fuel. I test my fuel pump flow with the NOS off and just blow straight fuel into the intake. My AFR hits in the 8s but never a backfire except when I went lean. Have you checked your plugs since?

havent checked plugs but i did drive 35 minutes from redline last night so i know things are pretty good...scanned it the whole way and saw nothing wrong except for the MAF readings for obvious reasons....but thats the only thing we can figure why it blew...oh well it blew...i will check all the nitrous before i put the CAI back on
