props from a cobra
So I was heading to school, and I usually have to take the access road on Ben White to cut over to St. Eds. Well I was behind an 03-04 svt cobra at the light I needed to turn left at. Theres never any cars up to the next light that is I dunno about 1/4 mile to a 1/2 mile away. Im just guestimating here. Anyway I say screw it, I wanna see what I can do. Or how bad Ill lose at least. So I proceded to open the cutout and get ready for the light to turn green. Turns green, he rolls into the throttle, and I let him know im there by goosing it a little while behind him.
I get past the car thats next to me, so I go to move over, he hammers it, and well I see this and so do I. This is about a 25 roll. Posi does a tiny spin and hooks immediately. I hang to about half a car behind him in the next lane, then he shifts and slowly starts to put about a car on me, then he pulls a tiny bit more.
We come up to the light and go under the under pass where I procedeed to do a little 15mph burnout for him to let him hear me
. Theres too many cars by this time, so we both turn onto congress and I get next to him, and I begin to tell him how I liked his car, and he was said the same thing. something along the lines of, "wth is done to that thing". I was like "just tuned and exhaust." hes like its really loud. I was like oh yeah ive got an electric cutout. I told him my plans and that I just wanted to see how I fared up stock against a cobra. he said, pretty damn good, then we said our goodbyes and took off. I think he only had exhaust, it was loud, but not like it would be if he had a straight x-pipe on there.
All in all I felt pretty good about it. It was a loss of course. But these cobras are deadly from a roll nonetheless.
