    small problem???

    I was wondering how to fix the threads of a bolt like the threads on the steering shaft that holds the wheel on. long story short i'm an idiot and screwed up the threads on the end of the shaft

    buy a triangle file and file them back into shape. You could buy a thread chasing nut to repair the thread but the triangle file will do the job.

    I would try the thread chasing nut first. They seem to be easier to use. I have not tried the triangle file--but I would imagine it would take longer and you have more of a chance of screwing up the threads....
