ya you can take them rear blocks out, youll just ahve to buy the new ubolts for the 2wds, this should be the part no. for the 2wd ubolts #15002781, dunno for sure but you MIGHT have to order 2 id check it out first
im sure you probably could crank the bars down a little i just done know how much you would actually get outta it, maybe in 1"
I have heard horror stories when people get the ideal to Play with the torsion more than a 1/2 a turn up or down, involving ride quality, tire shake, braking issuses related to tire shake. I have no personal experiance with this but I have worked with a few guys over the years that have played with their bars.

i think the best bet for lowering a 4wd would be to get rear shackles and lowering torsion bar keys.. the shackles, i know are very easy to put in especially on a newer vehicle..i havent ever installed a set of torsion bar keys, but i think you need a special tool to do it... good luck.. Dylan

When lowering with the torsion bars, don't you have to replace the keys just like you would to raise a vehicle with bars? I know you have to keep load on the bars or else they get a bit out of control.
See my truck data in the "My Garage" section here... http://www.ls1truck.com/forums/my-ga...tml#post191709
you need a gear puller if you decide to swap for the lowering keys. you dont have to replace them though if you only want like 1" they have some play to them
i had an 02 4wd and used f150 keys to lift it... bad idea, cvs are on a terrible angle.. probs just kept happenin one after another, i would suggest NOT putting the lowering keys on, but this is only from my experience of doing the LIFT keys so it might be different
as far as the blocks i coudlnt see why they would be a problem, shackles would do the job to, youll probably get the same distance outta both only diff is shackles will probalby be about $60 wit shippin and handlin.... ubolts probalby $30 wit shippin in handlin so you do the math
if you feel some vibration after you do either the shackles or block delete w/e it is that you decide throw some 2.5* shims in there
well i went ahead and did it ... i think it looks ok
