If the lift is under .600 you can use comp cams 26918-16 springs. If more lift than that get dual patriots from Billy.

I'm assuming it's under .600" lift. You might as Jeff.

See how many miles are on the springs and exactly what the valve lift is; if they have more than 35K-miles on them I'd get a new set. But I'm pretty sure that they probably have a lot less time on them than that and jethro takes excellent care of his stuff so I'm sure they're not overheated or abused. If you want to splurge find a set of titanium retainers, I thought I saw someone selling a set somewhere on one of the forums, maybe SSS.com?

Something else I just thought of - did jethro need to install ARP rod bolts, or upgrade his injectors/fuel system?

You need to get some hardened pushrods to go with the cam and new springs. The stock pushrods WILL bend eventually.

Well, 918's would work fine, IMHO. PRC dual springs are badass, but not needed for this application. You will experience a little extra valvetrain clatter with the "stiffer than stock" springs. Pushrods are a must. How many miles on your stock retainers? Ti would be nice, but they are verrrrry pricey. But they are worth the price. How many miles on the cam and the accessories?
