So last night I got off work and I was heading home to Boerne, when I had to stop in San Marcos to pick up my sister. Now I have a 4/8 on my truck and yes, I do have to take it semi easy on bad roads. I sometimes scrape if im not paying attention on speed bumps or if I dont take the bump at an angle.

ANYWAY, I got to her apartment and was pulling up, and there was this speed bump, pretty low to say the least, and it was one of those hardass rubber ones that are bolted into the road. Not the cement ones. I slowly went over it, and I heard it hit, and was like oh well, and idled forward, and then hit the gas. While doing this I kept hearing the scraping so I was like "Oh shit I fucking broke something" because it usually doesnt scrape for that long. I jumped out after about 5 feet of driving, and crouched to look under the truck right quick. To my amazement one of the bolts had been sticking up a little high out of the speed bump, and I couldnt believe it but I pulled that bitch right out of the ground. I mean I literally yanked out like 3 other bolts not including the one it got hung on, and dragged the whole speedbump like four feet. I backed up, and tossed it into the bushes laughing.

I think sometimes, man being this low is ridiculous. I mean my roommate and I have been looking at houses, and we have to rule so many cool ones out because of how steep the driveway is.

Oh well, at least my truck looks cool.

Time to bag it so you don't have to limit yourself.

I have thought about that many times

buttt Im not that much of a show person. That and I gotta keep the truck nice and slim. Gotta keep it on its diet so it can be fast when I put the 5.3 in.

You can replace the front springs with a bag kit and just have bags overloads in the back to elevate the truck when you think it necessary. My 92 drug on everything taller than a tuna can.

The back isnt so bad for me. I mean I hit the axle on alot of stuff only because I pulled it down 2 more inches. But my biggest pet peeve is when Im going to fast on a bumpy road and the tire catches the fenderwell. I already have a crack in the drivers side fender well about a foot long right down the middle. Im just waiting to get the 17s I want and the lower pro tires on there and see what it does. Maybe another half inch or inch of clearance will be good.

I have a 4/8. I had a 4/6 but there was still some rake in the back I didnt like. I put 2in. shackles in the back and its about 2-3 millimeters from the entire truck being completely level. I put a level stick on the bed rail right after I put the shackles on. I love the look of it now, but I love the ride of the 6" more than the 8" in the back.
