That's a bitch. I went to the King of the Hill races at Northstar Dragway, formerly known a Denton Dragway. We had so much rain that all the property was a swimming pool. Watched a few races before carnage started to be the word of the day. Numerous cars fell apart, broke, tried to burn to the ground, poured lubricants on the track, etc... It all ended about 1:30 am when everyone finally surrendered without a final round. They've got this cool zambonie looking machine to drive down the track and burn the petroleum products off of it during oil downs but the bad thing is when you heat the track up after a torrential downpour you also create steam and cause the ground water to crawl up to the surface of the track. The guys couldn't figure that out. I finally was standing next to the track owner and mentioned that to him, in 10 minutes they were racing again and just mopping up the water between rounds for the next 20 minutes or so.
