    Is it possible to flip the rear end on a 2004 2wd with just basic tools I want a 3.5 inch dropin the rear and still pull the trailer

    I flipped my axle and it pulled it down 6 inches. You could always buy some shackles and hangers. those are pretty cheap.

    I have taken out the overload spring and two inch shackles,but the ride is too soft for even a small trailer

    I think you would too.I hauled some stuff the otherday and banged sumpin pretty hard on a bump...and it wasnt a bump stop&#33;

    I use 3" Belltech drop leafs. Work well, but the only thing I haul is ass.

    hahahaha oh god SC.

    yeah you do have to notch it. I notched mine and i have YET to hit the frame in the back. Hauled 320 pounds in the back (tires and rims) up to waco and didnt have a problem.
