I'm close to having my '05 5.3 swapped and running in my '92. I was planning on keeping it N/A for a while, but already thinking about the turbo. I would have to take the 110lsa cam out and get bigger injectors, but thats no big deal.
I have almost everything I would need to do the turbo, except the turbo. I was thinking about putting it in the bed, not under the bed. I'm thinking a 3800lb truck with 3:08s, 3200 stall, intercooled turbo at about 10psi would be easy mid- high 11's in the 1/4. ???
What does everyone think? It would have the "holy crap" factor with the turbo in the bed.

Now is definitely time to do it before the radiator gets installed. So much for being the fastest 5.3L truck, huh. If you have the money to do it, git-r-dun! Now that the install has slowed down from our earlier feverous pace you can start thinking about doing the turbo and just bypass the NA mode. Just think, you'll only be out the funds one time instead of twice going NA then boosted. DO TURBO! I'd like to turbo mine some day in the future but that will be in a few years.

yes, I'm Billy.
The more I think about it, the more I'm thinking turbo. Hell, I may go in tomorrow and flip the manifolds and think about a single front mount turbo too.
Anybody want a 110lsa cam?
