They like to stick on the dowel pins. If your sure you have everything loose then pry a bit between the block and the transmission bell housing. It should just take a good wiggle to get it apart.

Yep, also be sure you have unbolted the dipstick tube and the torque convertor is free of the flywheel. Be sure you have all the bolts out or you'll break the bellhousing and they aren't cheap to replace.

that thing was frozen so much to the engine i got it out never had a tranny stuck to the engine like that before
now iam going to replace the clutch packs but the tranny wasnt shifting out of 1st so what else needs to be replaced a servo? iam going to need a coverter how high should i go
as in stall speed

You say it wasn't shifting out of 1st. Did it feel like it was in neutral when it was supposed to be in 2nd? You may have had nothing more than a problem with the valve body or electrical connections.

no it would slip past quarter thoutle but shift all the gears as long as you didnt punch on the pedel then i stoped shifting out of first onless you held it to red line then it would shift

Oh yeah, dead clutches.
I'd add a Transgo 46MOD kit, vacuum modulator vs electronic, while you're at it. The PCM gets confused at times and will fry the transmission or the electronic pressure control valve will fail and toast the transmission because you're getting too little fluid pressure under high load. Sometimes going analog is better than digital especially when you have a custom tune.
