    I always hear people talk about corvette servos... What is a servo?

    It is the piston that the transmission uses to apply pressure to the clutch band that activates 2nd and 4th gears.

    firmer shifts and it just has more of a surface area to work with. its a great upgrade for under 30 bucks. it works well also when you get the tune too.

    It was a very good investment for me. I also put in a heavy duty shift kit when i had the corvette servo put in. I even replaced the plastic accumulator piston that comes in the 4L60E transmissions. These are what can shatter and destroy the trani. After i got the nelson tune on the truck is now chirps the tires when it shifts from 1st to 2nd under heavy acceleration. I even have 10" wide tires on the rear.
    2004 EXC Silverado 6.2L
    Mods:
    6.2L L92, Ported and Polished stage 3 heads, 95mm Throttle Body, 100mm MAF, NA, Pacesetter LT Headers, Magnaflow X-Pipe Muffler, Electric Fans, 160* thermostat, 2" Drop Shackles, Hellwig Sway Bars Front and Rear, Monroe Reflex Shocks, NGK Spark Plugs, AMW Oil Catch Can, 17"x10" wheels on Kuhmo Tires.
