theres a guy on sss.com i think his name is jjracer selling 918
DONT GET 918s, get manleys they are stock quiet EVERY set of 918s I have put on a truck makes it sound like a damn sewing machine. I put a set of manleys on randomheros truck and the valvetrain is stock quiet.
2007 CCSB Z71 VortecMax: Stock!
I've done CCs, Manleys and Patriots and they all tick. I think it has something to do with the extreme valve spring pressures vs. the stock lifter. I don't think there is the proper valving in the lifter for the higher seat pressure of the performance springs. The most you have to really worry about in springs is failures and chafing. Some cheaper springs will drop a small wire like particle off the springs when new. It's like they coat them with something and it cracks and falls off. The three above are all top quality springs but I've heard the Patriots leave the least amount of debris during break-in.
