You can get an LS2 6.0L with the T56 from a GTO. The corvette from 97 up uses a rear mounted transaxle type transmission. You'd have to get one from an earlier Corvette. If you did that and got a 99-2000 LQ4 it should bolt together without issue due to the longer crankshaft. A newer 6.0L is going to require a Camaro or GTO type T56.
You'll also want to move the shifter up closer to the front of the transmission if you do the T56. I think Keisler does the mod or will sell you the parts to do it yourself.

This would be my first choice!

Hey man I am going to be using my 5 speed this my 6.0l swap but I now that wont last long. I was wornding if you know if the trans crossmember needs to be moved back and do you know how big of a drive shaft needs to be made or dose someone make one?
I think a 6.0l and t56 would be freckin sweet.

I think some have used the 5 speed from a truck without any durability issues. You could make the mounts so the tranny sits in the same place and you wouldn't have to mod the driveshaft or the crossmember. I'm sure you could find someone who has already done this swap and could lend more information.
