All I can say is that my LS1 has a hard time spinning those gummy tires too many times. I am going to try it at the track tonight and see how hard they stick.

I changed to 305/55/18's, and they are awesome. I ditched the BFG kdw's for the Nittos.

I would just be careful about that width on a stock rim, I have them on 9" wheels, and that is just barely big enough.

I used to have the 404's on my yukon. They grip pretty good. The problem i had is when I burned the back two off and went to try to find two more and couldn't because Nitto had discontinued that series. I ended up changing out all four to the 420's. the 420's are good tires and hook pretty damn good.

I got my 404s about 5 months ago. There wasn't any trouble getting mine. Discount tire had to pick them up at their warehouse but that only took about 2 hours. They wouldn't put them on the truck but they did mount them up. I have adapters/spacers on the truck so it was a liability issue. Their rules suck sometimes but the legal system we have in the US these days make it necessary to cover your ass in the corporate world.
