ok guys another prob. i got a low rpm miss in first and second gear and third. misses like sputtering at 2500-3500 rpm, when i stomp it the missing stops. then wehn im cruisin at 55-70 in OD it does it slightly. i changed fuel filter, wirtes and plugs. i put stock autolites in it that are crap. could plugs be causing a miss? or reg grade gas and crappy plugs? its all stock otehr than gutted cats and flows.

sounds like dirty or clogged injectors, run some fuel system cleaner through the tank and see if that helps. You can use Seafoam in the tank also, thats always worked as a good injector cleaner to me.

A free flowing exhaust will cause you problems with a stock tune. I am surprised you don't get convertor inefficiency errors being reported to the PCM since your cats are gutted. Time for your first tune, maybe. Definitely do the Seafoam through a tank of fuel. Worst comes to worst you may have a coil going out or a short in a power wire going to the coil.

You're running lean man. That happens when you gut your cats and add a free flowing exhaust or run low fuel pressure. You're going to have to get that fixed before long. It's hard on the engine to run lean, burns stuff up. I'm not 100% sure it's causing your miss but I'm sure it has something to do with it. Running lean too long is as bad as a burned valve, it will eventually cost ya.

Maybe the coil is shorting out? They'll do that before they finally crap out. With the lights out, in the dark, run the engine and watch for halo blue light being emitted around the ignition coil.
