I recently have been buyin' stuff that i would not normally buy for the truck. And one thing that has cross through the ole noggin are those controversial (problaby didn't spell that right) ASP underdrive pulleys, i have noticed not many guys here have them and there has to be a reason behind that. I don't mind the $200 if it is a good product. If it only is 5-10hp who cares it is 5-10 hp that i didn't have before. I know money can be spent wisely somewhere else, but I am already in the process of the whole cam, stall, rods, springs, retainers, shifkit thing. And i wouldn't mind a little horsepower now.
How do you guys feel about this product?

Its your money, buy whatever you like.

Most people don't buy them due to false knock often associated with an aftermarket pullies or dampners. Underdrive pullies alone will cause your alternator to turn a lot slower and kills the efficiency of your alternator output and water flow rate. I guess if you're running a higher gear ratio in the rear end you're going to be turning enough RPM to offset the smaller pullies.

Honestly, the thought to add them has crossed my mind numerous times lately. Then again, I have been in the "throwing money down a hole" mode for a while now.

Good point, but you can get a smaller alternator pulley to offset the slowing efficiency rates.

And Also Just purchased 145A alternator today.

you wont need the oversized alt. pulley it will just make it harder to keep the amps up, if anything you want a smaller pulley for the alt.
