it seems that the TB will fit my truck but will the intake bolt up and help or hurt the Horsepower?

It will bolt right up but I read that the engine driven fan will hit the air intake tube, so you will need to install efans.

i was told that the intake was taller and you would have to get new belts. Also you will lose Torque?

actually the intake is shorter than the stock truck intake, so you will have to use the accessory brackets, and water pump of an LS1 to clear the throttle body. You may lose a little low end but you gain high end. Those intakes flow more in the upper rpms.

If you use the LS1 accessories, you have to use the LS1 crank pulley, too. Different offset.
