    4l80e is in.......shifting strange

Just finished with the swap and went for a drive and in manual 1st the trans almost looks up, feels like reverse comes on. Also seemed to a little in manual 3rd. But overall seems to shift normal in drive, but starting from a stop it kind of neutralizes 1-2 up shift and feels like it slips weird taking off. It has a 258mm Yank 3600 and Transgo HD-2. Thanks for any help!

Did you rewire the transmission connector as per the conversion topic? Did you put the proper rear 80e transmission fitting that has the sleeve on it that goes into the center support? Have you checked the fluid level with the trans warm, engine idling and gear selector in park? Do you have 12v to the transmission? Do you know the history of the transmission, was it working properly in the previous vehicle?

Speedo works properly. The new VSS is on the front sensor and it's a Nelson pigtail harness. Fluid is good, I'm sure it has power to it because nothing was changed. I am unsure about the trans but bought it from a friend of a friend that said it was out of an 01 Sierra with 105K miles is what he said. Fluid looked good descent, just old when I got it. It feels to me like a cross leak.

Anyone? It also seems to happen in all manual gears and in neutral it drags like it is still wanting to engage.
