    4l60e deep pan

Looking at getting the Derale unit. Are they good? I was going to get a Trick Flow to match the rear end, but the Derale has a bung already in it for a temp. sending unit. Or should I just lose the idea of a deep pan? Thanks for any advice.

I've always liked the deep cast aluminum pans. Never tried the Derale but it just looks like a place for a leak to happen, kind of like an outhouse.

Yea I thought that myself, Or road salt etc. will get in those tubes and sit. I can just drill and tap a hole to put a sending unit in a aluminum pan correct?

Yeah, many have a place with a lot of extra material just for that.

I had the DeRale for a while. Never had issues but I agree - I wouldn't run it where you have salt. Get a cast aluminum pan.
