    '99 Suburban to LS1/2?

    Sup Guys,

Tranny is about to take a in my 2wd 1500 suburban. Rear crank seal is leaking pretty good. And with the way the tranny has been acting, I wouldn't doubt the crank has a little walk in it now. Looking to upgrade both motor/tranny. LS1/2 complete swaps (engine/tranny/harness/etc) slip right in? If I have to mod the wiring, does someone make a harness kit for something like this?

I'm hoping someone has a diy thread I've missed in my search.

I hope to install a 5.3l myself this coming spring in my '99 Tahoe. I haven't read a whole heck of a lot about it, because I'm focused on other things for now, but I understand it's about as easy as a motor swap gets. Here are a few links I found earlier:
That should be a good start, and there's a ton of additional info out there. Good luck.
