    I saw somewhere GM went back to drums on the rears to save money?
    Is that for real ?

    maybe for them but not for us...36k truck is still 36k...i kinda like the disc myself..

    big open wheels just wont look as good with a ugly @$$ drum back there

    Yeah for the base models they did... apparently due to the e-brake problems. I nearly died under my truck due to an ebrake failure on my discs.

    If I remember correctly they put drums on the 4wd trucks because the trucks get mud and rocks and trash in the rotors when wheeling and people were complaining about not being able to stop their trucks when offroading with 4 wheel disc brakes. The 2wd trucks still get discs, I think.

    My 2005 2wd Crew Cab has rear drums, they look so modern.
    2007 Chevy Silverado Silver Birch 5.3L new model ext cab, Automatic, 3.73 gears....All stock so far!
