So this past Tuesday the boss hauls me off to the side, I'm laid off 'til next spring. Not a big deal, the way he did it on the other hand was a real piss off but I won't get into that. That afternoon I was working on top of a Potato truck box. (Just for reference these are about a foot taller than an average dump truck) I tripped on my ground cable (welding in a patch) and down I come where a cement floor broke my fall, after I landed on a small generator. Broke my right elbow and sprained my right wrist (hit the generator) then I bounced and my left side and head hit the ground, left me with some nasty bruises and just general soreness. Anyway funny part is instead of two weeks then laid off the doctors gave me six weeks on comp and I got a sizeable payment from my insurance through work. Then that's up and I'm laid off. I just bought HPT so it gives me some time to wrap my head around that and to focus on my flying (working on my Commercial license)
