    Trans cooler help

    Just installed my flt level 4 tranny and circle d converter 3000 stall. What trans cooler do you recommend i want maximum cooling and not worried about price? 00 sierra 5.3l 4l60e

    glad u made this thread...i want to know whats the safe operating temp for the trans........i cruise at 170-180....wot runs it hits 220.....i have a hayden 40,000

    even with my MONSTER tires, and a factory cooler, beating on mine, in middle of summer, i've never seen temps above 155-160
    blown transmissions are about as useful as 97% of the guys on this forum

    huh? that doesnt even sound right, trans temp should change very slowly...
    are you cooling lines in contact with your headers?

    man now that u say that,,yes they are very close to the headers....like im fine cruising 170-180......if i make 1 run it hits 200+easy

    time to buy some line and make some bends
    blown transmissions are about as useful as 97% of the guys on this forum

    ok i zip tied the lines away from the headers,they were real close...im gonna switch up to that cooler and ditch the hayden
