    Headers caused some problems

    Hey guys, I just installed a set of headers on my 2005 5.3 silverado. They went in great and everything, but I have a few engine DTC's now and I can't figure out what is wrong. The DTC's are: system too lean. O2 sensor (bank1, Sensor 1) low voltage. and Multiple cylinder misfires. I changed the plugs and the wires. But I still get the codes. I clear them out with my laptop, and it even idles rough when the codes come on. I need some advice.

    with thwe low voltage bank 1 sen 1 tell me its a bad 02sen. did u put the sen back in the same spot when u took them out

    Did you put loctite or anything similar on anything when tightening it back up?

    just throwing this out there, but has it been tuned for the headers yet?
    00 FRC - just top end, exhaust, and a hot-air intake

    Are the plug wires OK? Some headers can burn them causing it to misfire. You need a tune if you don't have one already, My headers caused all sorts of problems also.
    Axekick tuned, Pacesetters, Servo.

    try replacing all the spark plugs, they get cracked so easily and cause tremendous issues when cracked. NGK TR55's a about $1.50 each.

    Ya I figured I had to get it tuned, I did change the plugs and wires and used loctite(temp. specific for engine blocks). I was going to tune it anyway. Now I have a good reason!

    You don't NEED a tune. I would say that there is either a bad 02, or a leak somewhere.

    Even a bad o2 shouldn't cause misfires. It would cause lack of power or terrible mileage, but truck should go into preset tables from factory (i had one out for a week, and it was slow, but drove fine)
    blown transmissions are about as useful as 97% of the guys on this forum

    Ya ive tried different O2 sensors, that wasn't it. I should try bunching out my cats, if thoughs are clogged up enough it would restrict the flow. What do you guys think? haha Sounds likely...
