After a long wait, my truck finally ate up some pavement tonight. I got the 6.0L in last weekend, finished it up last night, and now just got back from a test drive. I didn't want to floor it just yet, but half throttle feels incredible!
The 6.0L feels a lot stronger than my ls1 did. Just more lowend torque. Then again the ls1 had a bad injector.
It'll get loose around 50mph at half throttle, I'll get the laptop on it tomorrow and finish it up, if i have enough time. I can't wait to hold it down for more than 5 seconds at wot.
Intercooler is here, now I'm just waiting on the tubing. Meth kit will be ordered this week as well. I wanna run about 10-12psi.
I still need to put in the cam (230/228-.591-114) but I'm waiting until I dyno it.

I hope to see 11's. With 8psi and meth.

It's not much but it should hold it's own on the street, I'm a budget racer just like you guys So, it's one part at a time. Maybe someday I'll do a stroker.

I think I need to paint this ugly ass thing someday too, lol.

    later,

    allen

A turbocharged 4dr 4x4 should be able to fly cross country so it should not take you long to get there.

you know..me and jerry was thinkin bout takin all that stuff off our trucks and throwin it the back of the ole farmtruc to kinda make it an even race with you but i've been thinkin...more wt for you in the bed of that thing means more wt ='s quicker boost and more traction...think we better go back to the drawin board for plan "B"...

I was hoping to do a similar setup to my truck when I finish wearing this 4.8 out, so it will be interesting to see the results of this project of yours Allen.
