Went to the 1/8 mile track today. New times as follows....

    Best ET 9.2452
    Best MPH 74.48
    Best 60ft time 2.1434
Best Reaction time .6483....sucks huh? LOL Of course they still work on the .500 as perfect.

Okay, now the bad news.... the tranny would not shift to 3rd and about 100 feet before the finish line I ran out of RPM and hit the rev limiter. I set the limiter at 8000 rpm and floated the valves on my last run and bent a pushrod. That sucked. Oh well, 15 minutes and 1 new pushrod and all is good again.

Any ideas why my 2nd to 3rd shift is hesitating a full second before it shifts? That's really killing my times.

What are your shift speeds and rpms set at?

The pcm must meet both requirements to shift.

not bad times at all, get that problem fixed and i'm sure it's going to drop.

It's on my other laptop but both numbers were met. It delays all the time when shifting into 3rd gear all the time. Even when I manually shift, the transmission delays the shift for some stupid reason. Either the 3rd gear valve in the valve body is sluggish or the 2-3 solenoid is dirty, clogged or not working. The 3rd gear shifts are solid when they hit but the delay time is killing me and the valve train. Maybe I should drop the pan and clean everything in the valve body related to the 3rd gear shift.

Here's an update to the 3rd gear shift delay problem. I switched out my 2000 pcm to my 2002 pcm and now it shifts just fine. I do have a 2002 4L60E in the truck but surely that wasn't the cause. The 2000 pcm was shifting way early from first to second, also, during normal driving patterns around town. I guess I am going to copy the data out of the 2002 pcm using LS1Edit and paste it into my 2000 pcm and see if it works correctly when I install it. I would have never thought that a stock 2000 PCM program would not shift correctly. The stock 2002 PCM program is stock other than disabling VATS and the Malfunction Indicator Lamp "on" when the PCM detected that some of the sensors are no longer installed.
