    Question Need Radiator hose help..!!

    Hi Everyone,

I am in the midst of getting the engine up and running and ready for install (2004 5.3L engine and tranny into my 1972 GMC Jimmy 4x4) and just picked up a great new aluminum 3-row radiator from Champion Cooling Systems near my house and am having a heck of a time trying to find the hoses that will work with the 5.3L conversion. Both inlets on the engine are on the pass side vs. the way they came... I just back from O'Rielly's and requested the 2004 Chevy Silverado rad hoses and they seem close at 1 1/4 on the top and bottom but the size is way off from my rad inlet/outlets... which are top: 1 1/2 & the btm: 1 3/4...? Has anyone on here come across this problem and if so, how did you solve it... I guess my only other option is to have them custom made but that will be expensive I am sure... Thanks in advance for any help...

Get one of those cool-flex universal copper flex hoses that you bend to fit, they come in many lengths with universal couplers for the ends.
