Thread: What next with my truck

  1. #1
Well as some of you read i blew out my spyder gears at the track last week. And this week i think i just did my tranny. I was out at one of these ricer hang outs and i was gonna show off with a nice little burn out. Well as soon as i started i stopped. I heard another noice that sounded like my read end but it was my tranny. If my truck is at a complete stop in drive it will not take off. But i can put it in first gear and bump all the way to o/d. But as soon as i come to a stop it wont take off again unless i put it in first myself. ANd if i put it in drive i can hear something spinning making some weird noise. Any suggestions as to what it was / is would be great. Man i have bad luck with burn outs maybe its time to stop doing it.

Nah they are to much fun.

I ordered my new transmission today so i will be back up and running in a week. To bad that my rear end and transmission went out withing a week of each other. Quite costly if i do say so myself.

I had the same thing happen to my Suburban, ended up costing me almost 3k. Oh well, now it has a true track locker and a race tranny. Did you upgrade while replacing everything?

That Auburn is a nice unit. I've had one in my truck for about 8 years now and it works flawlessly. Two tire burnouts a-plenty at the strip without slipping once.
