    exhaust leak driving me crazy

Alright guys I got my exhaust welded on the truck yesterday, and I had a massive leak coming from the drivers side collector. I went and bought a new metal o ring gasket, its better but still leaking when you give the truck gas, will the red rtv fix the problem or will it stand up to the temp. please help, thanx Nick

buy a vband clamp and have it welded in there instead of the flat gasket.

any other suggestions other than that, dont really feel like taking off manifold and crossover pipe to have it welded, do you think the rtv will work ??

did you check to see if the mating surfaces were flat? One of them must be warped for it to be leaking. Try some copper RTV, it might help. Put it on the surface and let it set overnight before tightening.
