well temps were up compared to last week but i still was able to get a 1/10 faster and 3 more mph out of the cam not to bad.
there were plenty of cameros out there and i got to race a couple of them, my reaction time is what gave me the edge against one of them that i beat and the other i stayed almost next to him lol very good raceing tonight from everyone.

ok time
60'-2.21
330'-6.10
1/8-9.27@78.20
1000'-11.98
1/4-14.26@98.59 man 3 mph faster then last week with the cam

Looks like that cam helps. Now you just need a stall and you'll be in the 13's for sure...Zed

I agree on the stall converter. That's how to reduce your 60 foot times. Reduce those down to 1.8 and you are easily in the 13s. Now which converter to get you there is a whole seperate topic. I am trying a Midwest 2800 converter I paid $299 new for since this is my first non-stock converter. I was a die-hard manual tranny person from day one but am very happy with the performance of the 4L60E other than it won't let me rev up the engine and side step the clutch. I figure a refresh on the clutches in the automatic about every 15-20K since I love to boil the hides off in the staging lane.

Yeah, I was looking at a shift kit to be my next mod. I do have what PATC calls a "wake up kit" in there already. It's just the billet servos (intermediate and O.D.) and the .500 boost valve plus I turned up my pressure control solenoid about 1/8 of a turn. When I rebuilt it about 55,000 miles ago I also added the black kevlar 2-4 band and the Raybestos "Blue Plate Specials" to the O.D. So far it's holding but I don't know how many more WOT 5900 RPM shifts it's got in it without that pump output slide spring to keep the pressure up. The 2-3 shift is not as firm as it once was so I've been trying to take it easy on it during daily driving...Zed

That's awesome vv8, you're heading in the right direction!!

Let's get those shift points up a tad, see how your truck likes an unlocked converter and cooler weather and I bet you're already in the 13's.

Congrats!!
