Long tube headers for you 88-98 Guys

Shoenfeld headers are now making some long tube headers for the ls1 swap and they are very nicley priced at only $250. Here is the link LS1 TRUCK - Schoenfeld Headers

NITROUS called the guys there and they told him it had to do with motor mount placement on the later OBS trucks. I don't buy it but they said they're different but they've never tried installing the headers on the 96+ trucks.

Thanks. Just wondering. There is a small possibility there is a difference between the TBI and Vortec style. I know the stock exhaust is different...maybe the trans crossmember or something else is different too.

WOW that looks super close to the control arm mounts. Looks like the heater hoses would get super hot...if they were installed in that picture. But i wouldn't mind running a set.

Those look really nice. I'll most likely get a set when I'm ready to start my swap since that place is local to me.

I ordered a set last week. When they come in I will post up my opinion on the fit and finish. Hopefully I will get them this week.

Looking at the headers I believe they will fit 88-98 with no issues. You need to make sure you have the right positioning of the motor though since some of the regular cabs push the motor forwardwhich will cause clearance issues. The guy was real nice and I congratulated give him for finishing them. If you're in need of a set of headers they are well worth trying out for the price, very, very cheap. Hurricane Ike really set me back on headers.
