Fount the site from another board. I am overwhelmed by the amount of information here.
Here is what I have in my garage:

2001 Jeep Wrangler, lift, 33"s K&N FIPK, etc...

2002 Tahoe LT Autoride, Drop in K&N pretty much stock (its the wife's

2004 Avalanche Z71, Drop in K&N, Magnaflow exhaust w/ twin tailpipes, B&M Supercooler aux. TOC, MSD Ignition wires

I am interested in transmission upgrades for the Tahoe and the Avy. My wife has noticed a hesitation in the Tahoe from a stand still with moderate throttle (not WOT). She says she will press down on the accelerator, it hesitates for a second, and then 'goes'. I am driving it for a few days to see if I experience it. So far I have not, however it looks like there are several folks here who might know a thing or two

In general, I would like to make both vehicles' trannys last longer with normal daily driving. I plan to tow with the Avy, hence the cooler.
From what I have found so far, it looks like a shift kit/servo/tune would suit my needs. I am not interested in 1/4 mile times, just a more bullet-proof tranny that will last.

    any input is greatly appreciated!
    thanks,
    Jim

    Welcome to the site

And yes, a trans-go hd shift kit, corvette servo, and Nelson tune will definately help you on your way to a stronger tranny. However, depending on how bullet proof you want those trannys will decide on how much you end up spending. There are several guys such as Hitman X, that could tell you a list a mile long that would improve the life and performance of your trannys.....it really just comes down to how much money you are willing to spend.

No matter how well you build it, it's going to wear out clutches eventually but the heavy duty parts will help to keep it from blowing apart. Performance usage just naturally wears on the trans and don't think the life of the transmission will be 100,000 miles when abusing it constantly.
