On my 89 chevy ive got stock motor mounts with street and perfomance aluminum adapters on the ls1. I cant get the motor to bolt in anymore. It seems the adapters make the stock engine mounts wider than the frame mounts now. Anyone else have this problem?
I can't seem to picture what you are saying. Can you post some pictures?

I have a 92 with S&P type mounts and they bolt right in. I cannot envision your fitment problem. You do have the rubber mounts bolted to the crossmember and the mount cups bolt to the engine?

aight i managed to get the stock rubber mounts to work now. Its a tight squeeze but the bolts went through...now for the poly bushings!!
