You will not only need a new grille but new fenders, new hood, headlights, corners, possibly header panels etc, and some minor frame modifications up front. I think it would be like doing the Denali swap on the 03-07classic trucks. you need to modify the frame for the new style bumper brackets. I have never done it but my old boss put a Denali front clip on his 05 and said it was a bit of a pain but wasn't too hard.
2005 black Yukon XL SLT - traded in for me wife's new Fusion (GM sucks these days)
2002 black Yukon SLT (the skinny sister)
1969 green Pontiac GTO (Layla, AKA the black sheep)

Sticky/broken gauges? I can help. PM me for details.

Hmmmm, are ya'll sure? It looks like the bumper's asthetics were the only thing that changed. At most, for it to look right, you might need a new grill assembly. Looking at the two pics below the dimensions look almost the same. I don't think that new fenders or hood would be needed at all. It might use different mounting brackets but I haven't checked part numbers.

ahhh farts, I was thinking of Chevy fronts for some reason. My bad, I stand corrected, DOH! You will probably still have to modify for the bumper mounts though. I think the bumpers on the 03-07 classics were slightly longer still so the grille may be necessary, or some sectioning of the bumper. either way it otter look pretty cool.

I had been thinkin of doing it too, Just to make the truck look a little more updated. I'm broke for the time being, but it's still in the back of my head. I'll try to cross reference the part numbers for the brackets tonight and let ya'll know what I find out. My thinkin is that the probablt use the same exact frame from 99-07 classic. Maybe just added mounting holes if they changed the brackets. We shall see.

M'kay, Checked on the brackets and they are different.
same for 99-02 c0103105 passenger side
same for 03-07 c0103133 passenger side

I know it's not a huge difference but it is a difference. I remember my boss explaining what all went into his denali conversion on his 05 GMC and what cuts, and holes needed to be changed. I just don't remember what all he said went into it, its been a few years and a lot of beers.
