    LS-1 into a 98 Z-71

    Hey Everyone

I know some of you guys have done all this. But i have a few questions i need answered and see if you all can help.

    1. How did you guys do the fuel lines.

2 Will a 6.0 liter intake fit the LS-1 since it has longer runners for more torque.

    3. I have a 5.3 oil pan out of a newer Chevy z-71 do i need to change it for clearance.

The LS-1 is out of a wrecked 98 Trans Am. Engine has 38000 miles on it and i think it will be a good fit.

Any thoughts on a little more torque besides the intake. I was thinkin of a cam if you guys have any ideas

    Thanks

There is a complete writeup on a sumped fuel system on the front page, you can take that as a start for most connections. I run a Walbro intank fuel pump with a 2000 Corvette internally regulated fuel filter on my setup since it only has one fitting on the fuel rail. Other fuel line systems are detailed in the LSx conversion writeup in this section.

Both intakes are interchangeable. All Gen3 engines will interchange.

The oil pan should fit without modification.

The cam will depend on what mods you want to make. I'd definetly stall it 3200 or more.
