2004 5.3 head swap ???

I have a 04 reg cab with a 5.3 . I got a lq4 with 317's heads on it . i wanted to port the 317's. but what i wanted to know is can i put them on my 5.3 ??? If so would i see any gains? and if no gains from the 317's what would it take to make them work for me?

what the hp on 5.3 and lq4 6.0 ?

Depends on what years they are, but the lq4 will give you more.
5.3=325
lq4/6.0= 364

my 5.3 is 2004
lq4 is 2002

those numbers are from wiki, but other sites are sayin that the lq4 is anywhere from 300-325. I'd do the engine swap if you're plannin on makin big HP. If you decide not to I'd consider buyin whatever you don't use from the lq4.

whats the hp on the 5.3? like 295? i want to make good hp around 400 would be nice. one day !

Honest RWHP on most unmolested 5.3L engines I have seen on a dyno hit about 235HP.

The dyno numbers you find on most 5.3s are on the fly not on the ground if it is stock and close to 300. The real dyno numbers red is talking about is on the ground power.
