i was tol it will work on mine, the engines are internally balanced. the harness is the same, and I would still swap your 6.0 computer in. I'm not into tuning, but to me it seems that it would be easier to start on a 6.0 base. and if you drive it at all before you tune it it will run FAR better then the 4.8

Your 4.8 Flexplate will bolt up to your new 6.0 just fine. Just buy new 4.8 flexplate bolts, or reuse the old ones.

... if you have a 2002+ 6L engine. Measure how much of the crankshaft sticks out from both engines. If they're within a 1/16" then you're good to put the 4.8 flywheel on the 6L engine. If its got about 1/2" difference in length between the two you have an early model, 1999-2001, engine and it won't work. The LSx style 300mm 4L60e won't work with the 99-2001 engine.

You just need the 1/2 spacer that GM puts between the crank and flexplate. Some 4.8 had this spacer already installed.

You cannot put the spacer behind a Gen3 dished flywheel, it will not let you bolt the transmission in and the starter will not work correctly.

a 6.0 computer (pcm) will prob not work, it will prob have a program for an 80e, besides all that if it is the stock pcm from a different truck it will have VATS enabled and wont let your truck start anyways...

This is correct. The flat 4L80 flexplates use the spacer.
