    Shift Kit?

Was thinking if a shift kit would do good for a 4l65e on my truck? Bad good? Have the rev limit up and shift points different from stock would it help or waste of money. If I do get it going to install myself easy or not. Transmission stock. What type of shift kit would a get because only finding shift kits for the 4l60e dont know if it would work with my tranny. can please help.

    Good choice! DO IT!

It's doable as long as you take your time and follow everything to a T.

Get a TransGo HD-2 shift kit, vett servo, metal accu. piston and you're good to go.
Don't install any shims or spacers to firm up the shifts, it'll shift firm enough.
If not, you can tweek it with the tune.

Every bolt has to got back in the exact spot it came from, torque'd correctly, everything must be cleaned, no shortcuts, and triple check your work.
Once you get it installed and it doesn't work, it's a PITA!!!! to get it going again.

Be sure to check the oil over and over again, it'll take more than you think, and check it while the trans is hot/warm.

If your trans pan doesn't have a drain on it, have fun making a big a$$ mess LOL, jk.

Yes Im going to put sts turbo on the whipple almost everyone is telling me can't be done just going to save money because if a do i want to get an intercooler, a good tune, and a transmission that can handle the power.

    Shift kit
Thanks for the advice on the shift kit. So if i install the shift kit wrong can it hurt my transmission.

Your trans won't old up.....neither will a "built" aftermarket. Yes, anything you do wrong during the installation can cause damage....but it's a grenade anyway....even with ONLY the supercharger.

I would seriously look into a 4l80e if you are adding that much power. And build that. Set up correctly it could be a very potent combo. My 4l60 started slipping and crapping out with just bolt ons and a cam. With it being built I am looking for it to explode soon after I put a turbo on it.
