Question K&N CAI 6.0L air box mods?

Hey I installed my K&N CAI on my 06 6.0L SSS
Removing the stock air box to install the CAI it exposes alot of area open to the road.
Is anyone modifying those areas to keep dead birds and water from the K&N filter?

so do you have the same concern. I mean theres alot of road visable through the air cleaner mounting tray. Heck I dont see how the can call this a CAI?

I have the metal plate under mine. If it will fit yours, and you want it, lemme know. Just helping out.

Better watch it, you might suck up a dead dog or something with your intake under there

outerwears makes a cover and it repels water as well as a lot of other ugliness.
