i took the truck for a test drive and heard no gear whine or anything.

If all goes well tomorrow, i will get you guys some times with the posi.

gotta have it if you are making any kind of power. Even the G80 is a pos as it unlocks over 20mph. Those tires get to 20 real fast when it breaks loose....

what exactly are you saying the G80 unlocks at 20mph? I believe
speed has nothing what so ever to do with a limited slip slipping
or not.

BTW as a $325 option G80 is well worth the money.

I believe L82 is right, factory locker is unlocked above 20 or 25, it's more of a latch system, not a clutch system like a true eaton posi.

Yes. Check out Eaton's site. It is a limited slip in every sense of the word. Over 20mph it unlocks. Its good for pulling the boat out of the water but not for racing. The differance between the G80 and the Auburn or full Eaton posi, is night and day.

I have the auburn posi and it's awesome. It has never missed a lick. I also like that there are no clutch packs to service. It's relatively maintenance free. Just service the rear end fluids once in a while and you are good to go. I run Royal Purple rear end fluids in it.
