would there even be any reason to get a set of aftermarket heads, or upgraded, or would that just be a waste?

i race late model stock cars, and i know when i got my motors, the engine builder spent a lot of time working on the heads because they are suck an important component, so i was just wandering if there is any better heads available

Your intake flow like they sit on your truck is 320cfm w/ a 2.16 valve. port the exhaust side a little bit, slap in a cam and go. There is always $AFR$, $ET$, $TFS$ heads, but for the money you can't beat what you've got on there. I have a set of L92's at the house waiting to go in something

better springs and one piece valves would be a nice upgrade, along with touching up the ports.

ok, so you think the money would be much better spent somewhere else than a new set?

Yes . Your engine is a just little bit differant than what they are putting in the ZR1 vette, but same motor. It has a supercharger on it, lower CR, forged rods, etc. etc. You've got a very nice starting platform...from the factory.
