Hey guys. A newbie to this site. I am a member of other sites, but found this one very interesting and helpful...so far. Anyway, I am going to be doing a 4L60E shift kit improver (maybe Trans-go HD2?), Corvette servo, Billet 2nd and 4th, etc. Any suggestions on sites to purchase these? Haven't checked the threads on this site (or others) for members selling new/slightly used Trans-go or other kits. If somoeone has something to sell, I may be interested, so let me know.

Also, I am investigating a cam. I know that certain rods and gears are necessary when upgrading to a pretty hot cam, so input is greatly appreciated here also. I want to go pretty hot, but not so lumpy it can't stay alive at idle. Any suggestions? I am also up for seeing what people have to sell here as well...

    Anywho--glad to be here.

    Welcome.

What are your future goals; going FI or NOS, or always NA?

I am not planning on doing FI or NOS. The truck is a weekend/play truck, but I want to be able to live with it. I don't think I will break-down the motor enough to do a port and polish, but I am entertaining the possibility of doing a new intake manifold to keep up with the 80mm BBK. I know that I will do injectors, fuel pump, cam, Westers 93 HOT tune, etc once I get my tranny beefed up... Any other suggestions?

I would think a cam & / or stall would be the best route.

I'll second OPT...great service, fast shipping, good prices. And you can get his stuff on Ebay if you prefer that route.

I'd also second the Nelson tune. You can get Westers. Or you can go with the besters. Sorry, had to...

Thanks for the help guys. I am definitely going to do my tranny first so that I can feel more secure doing a cam, etc.

I have already talked to a guy at Wester's. Since my truck sits in the garage during the week, I will be able to send my original PCM to be tuned--which is good since it already carries my stock crank sensor codes--which is to my advantage since I will not have to do a crank re-learn.

I have also heard good things about the Nelson tune and Wheatley's. I know that it is better to have a live tune performed, vs. having a PCM sent to me.

Are there any recommendations for cam settings? I know that I will have to do springs, cam gears, and rods. Do some of you have a LS6 hot cam? I want to go pretty wild, but not to the point where it beats me to death at idle...
