well ive been looking and you can get a gto with the 5.7 really cheap with LOW miles. and shot of nos in that and im happy! no need to really do anything else. not only that they get close to 30mpg highway. so i dunno just a thought at the moment but it seems like a badass car for 15000ish

Damn man...I'd keep your truck considering what you've got on it... IMHO, the only GTO I would buy is the 6.0L version...

Yeah 6.0 would be nice but the price difference is about 5000 between the 5.7 and the 6.0. only a 50 hp difference. I think we all know how easy you can make up 50 hp with these motors. id rather drop that 5 grand into the 5.7. right?!!?! i dont need it to be stupidly insane fast i just want a nice car with some balls! Trucks nice but i dunno.. kinda want a change been driving suv and trucks for awhile

The GTO isn't that fast. There were about 6 GTOs at the track last weekend and the best times I saw out of one was 8.7 or so and they were cammed cars. I've seen them faster before but with tons more money thrown at them.

the 6.0L IMHO is a better platform. "shot of nos in that and im happy! no need to really do anything else." Yeah thats what I said and now the mod bug is still humping my leg.
