Nelson for sure!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If you are disappointed, what are you doing about it? Have you called them and asked for an update? They work with you until you have your PCM just how you like it. Not everyone can be made happy. Maybe your money would be best spent buying your own version of the tuning software and learning to do it yourself so that you will be happy. I have my own software yet I trust Nelson to do the tuning for me.![]()

Well, I e-mail them (Allen and Melissa) and about 1-2 weeks later I get a reply. I call and call and request a phone call back and it never happens. I even e-mailed Melissa and asked her to have Allen call me and she replied saying "Allen will be calling you in a little bit", that was about a week ago.
As for your idea, I have even told Allen I am VERY close to buying HP Tuners for myself...from him!!! so I can get updates via e-mail and so I can learn to do this myself. I am still strongly considering getting HP Tuners, but I am not so sure about buying it through him anymore. I have been VERY patient over the past month, but it's beginning to wear very thin. He and Melissa claim he is VERY busy, which I am sure he is, but yet I see him posting on this forum and others about his personal projects, so he can;t be THAT busy. yes, I know he deserves his own time too, we all do, but how long does it take to answer an e-mail and/or retrun a phone call?
I am also considering calling Justin at Blackbear next week.
What really gets me is I spent hours and MANY posts on another GM forum defending him when another poster was bashing him. Not only that, but after getting my tune, I highly recommended him to many people at GM-Trucks and I know of at least 2 people that got Nelson tunes based on my recomendation. One of those 2 is sharing my experience and disappointment at this very moment. I even apologized to him for recommending him.
He is a great tuner, I will never doubt that. But his customer service is severely lacking.
Allen or Melissa, if you read this, please understand I have been patient and it's not too late to restore my confidence. But if this continues, I will have no choice but to write the $375 (premium price vs the comp.) off as a bad experience and take my business elsewhere.
Thanks!

I get pretty quick responses from PM's on here from Melissa. I can understand the phone thing. Try pm'ing melissa on here.

Melissa,
I sent you and Allen an e-mail yesterday. Did you receive it? Any idea when Allen plans to call me? I realize he is busy, just wondering about when he'll call to discuss my questions.
Thanks!

It never happened!!!

I would say to get your own copy of HPT from whomever you desire and learn how to tune it yourself. Its not rocket science but does require a lot of learning and once you get it down you can really maximize your tunes potential. Since you already have a tune from Allen he will help support your tuning since you'll be able to send him scans fo the truck running and driving. His live tunes are the best but not everyone can drive to SanAntonio for a tune.

What I've found is that you can take your truck to a tuner, pretty much anywhere, and get a one-time-tune for about $400 and absolutely zero support after that. If you need updates later, break out your wallet for another $400 tune. You may have to wait and get aggrevated while waiting for small items in the tune to get corrected but at least you have the option with the mail order tune. I always recommend to install the Nelson tune and drive it a few day before returning your original PCM. If in doubt you can put your stock tune back in until a tune comes that works the way you want it to work.
