does your transmission have two speed sensors? Thats what it sounds like, like it was an 80e instead of a 60e. It shouldn't change unless you have a bad sensor.

If you can read the MPH with a scanner, see if it reads the same as the speedo. It could be that your instrument cluster is off or failing. Maybe you pinched a wire when you installed the tranny.

instument panel as usual in these damn things u mean the around 70k instrument panel?lolya either pinched wire or changed tires in the swap somewere or he tuned his own speedo.lolseriously tho instr,or pinched wire ,check all plugs good.i have plenty of exp with em im on #7 tranny .this 1 is going billet,see what i can brake b4 i go 4l80.
