    Forged 370ci

Ok since I still don't have my truck all this ideas come in to mind, of what should I do next, since I'll be getting married in about 6 months I can’t be spending more money on the truck until after it, so the plan for the lsx has to wait.

But for now I could just take out the 6.0 and use it to build me a 370, this is where I need help at, what would I need to build it? I want to use the stock crank so I would need rods and boost pistons, what else? Could any body here help me out on all the measurement and brands for what I should get?

I have a friend that can build it for almost free, so I want to give it a shot.

Ask Allen if he can get you a stroker 383 kit for that 6.oL. A 370 is I think .30 over bore on a stock 6.0L You will need a good set of Diamond pistons, Good rods, Get a stud girdle for the bottom of the block for extra strength, Your heads might need a little porting. My suggestion is 8.7 to 1 compression.
I am looking at the 383 and the 370 from Texas speed.

    Good Luck,

Yeah I'll ask Allen to see what he recommends but I still want the 370 to save up on the crank and block.

Yeah, get a set of forged 4.030" pistons and rings, Compstar or Eagle rods and a full set of the highest quality bearings. Pay extra for the coatings on the pistons and bearings. That will make your 370. As mentioned, get a large dished CC piston to drop the compression waaaaay down. The closer the 8:1 compression the better. You may even send your heads out to increase the dome size. The whole idea is that the lower the compression, the higher boost you can run to push more fuel/air in with the turbos to build power. For every 14.7 psi of boost you typically double your stock engine's HP output.

I will do as Red says, the truck won’t be used as much on the street, I will also get all the ARP stuff needed and at what horse power level would it be a good idea to get the billet caps? I do want to make as much horse power possible with the 76mm turbo.

Go to you local Barnes and Noble or Walden book store and buy some books on turbo charging, JJ. They're good to have just for reference and there are some great ideas in them for building the most power.
