Custom Air Intake For OBS Swap?

What my plans are is to get a Diesel truck front bumper with the intake air holes in the bumper and have my air intake run to it.

What I would do is run a 90 degree fitting from TB down and then another 90 to where the air filter will sit which should be inline with one of the holes in the bumper.

Now the ? is where can I get elbows and tubing to build a custom setup and not spend alot of $$$ doing it?

I bought mine on Ebay. Theres a guy in Dallas with great prices on aluminum elbows. BTW, that's exactly how mine is setup minus the diesel bumper.

I'll have to measure to verify but I am thinking I have a 4" to 3.5" silicone elbow on the TB then two 90 degree elbows to clear the crankshaft pulley and then turn towards the front of the truck under the core support. You may need more connectors if you're still using a MAF sensor, mine is gone thanks to a speed density tune.

Hmmm...Diesel front bumper huh? Never heard of this. Sounds interesting. Wonder where a photo of one can be found?

The diesel bumper works well. I've seen a few and here's where the parts were bought. Intake Tubing: Intake Hoses, IntakeTubing, and Intake Clamps

Im going down to lowes or home depot and using pvc pipe. im gunna fab it up and use silicone elbows and connectors. then put it the pipe in the lathe and shave the inside down an then paint it, clear coat it an slap it in ill take pics of everything. I find the metal just to HOT.

    Thumbs up

Thats cool. Thanks. Didn't know these exsisted. The PVC sounds a little cheesy at first, but the more I think about using it, the more it makes sense. What did you say you were going to use to attach to the back side of the bumper?

Are you shaving the inside of the Schecule 40 PVC pipe down on the inside, thoughout the entire length? If so, Schedule 160 PVC pipe is thinner, if this is what your attempting to accomplish.
