a stock 5.3L in a 2002 silverado cable is stretched? huh...
    was this a 4.3 to 5.3 swap?
look there isnt enough pressure from the pedal to the throttle body to
stretch a cable before either the pedal breaks the lil endcap off.. or
the throttle shaft snaps into. somp'in' else is very wrong...

Isnt that cable adjustable? The release for the adjustment could be slipping or you dont have it installed correctly,no way it can stretch, unless your using a really small cable

$150 for the installation of an $18 cable?

My cable seemed too long in my conversion so I bent the throttle pedal rod out a little bit to take up some of the slack. Mine wasn't adjustable.

id say your pedal/cable attaching point is bent.
lift the pedal up, look at where the cable attaches to the pedal, if more
than 1.00" of cable is sticking out, id rebend the pedal to remove the
"slack". or use a universal cable terminal to remove the extra slack.
but if there is "slack" someones got the wrong cable or the pedal assembly
    is severly tweaked...

how do i rebend the pedal? and wat does a cabel terminal look like? is it just a clamp to cut some of the slack down?
