    LQ9 is in!

A big thanks to Geg(redheartbeat) and Jason(ghost04) for all the help.

Workin a little friday and a lot satuday it took us a little under 12 hours to go from an 06 4.8 to an 05 LQ9. It stll doesn't have tune and is running off the 4.8 pcm because of a pcm issue with the mail tune. But it feels really strong with the 4.8 pcm. Can't wait till he gets a real tune. It went really smooth untill the startup, we had a problem with the starter and 2 of the injectors were clogges but thanks to Gregs fast thinking we got it taken care of. I learned a lot in the swap and got really involved with the coaching by Greg. Thanks again Greg and it was good seeing you again.

I enjoyed the swap, working in a large clean shop was icing on the cake, too. It was good to meet everyone. Once that tune gets corrected it should wake that thing up.

It runs OK because the stock 4.8 tune is probably on the rich for the original engine....leaning it out on the 6.0 makes it sort of OK I guess.

Well the started woulding activate so we just took it off and reinstalled it and it worked.

The injectors we took the fuel rail off the 4.8, it has the same injectors, and put it on the 6.0L. And it all work out.

FWIW, guys thinking of doing a swap in the future, check the part numbers of the injectors in your original engine vs the new engine. If they're the same then use your old injectors since you know the condition of them. The 4.8L engine and the 6L LQ9 just so happened to have the same injectors. The LQ9 injectors were dirty or stuck due to being dry while sitting on the shelf at the salvage yard and caused an awful miss.
