I got my tune from allen a month or so ago, and the truck fired right up and rant great for the few minutes I let it run.

Then fast forward to this week, haven't run it since then, went to start it up for a friend and it wouldn't fire, it tried but just couldn't do it, when it finally did fire it ran really rough and then coughed out. I thought maybe it was low on gas at the time, I only had about a gallon or two in there when I first put in gas.

Today I went and hooked up my fuel pressure gauge. When I turn the key, the gauge goes up to about 10psi, then back to 0. When it finally fires, still running rough, the gauge only gets up to 20 psi.

I'm thinking that the pressure is too low and that is causing the starting and idling problem, but I don't know why. I put in another gallon of gas and that didn't help.

The only thing I did electrically is install my fan harness, and bundle up all the wires.

Any ideas?

Sounds to me like you split the hose coupling the fuel pump to the hard line in the fuel tank. Be sure you're using good quality hose to connect the two and double clamp both ends so it can't blow off. Use fuel injection quality hose only to connect the two ends.

That is exactly what I was thinking.
I hope I am not in the same situation. I used the hoses that came with my Walbro pump and only single clamped them.
Worst part is that I read the post that says to use the FI hose and to double clamp. Wednesdays off, so out to hook up the last wire to the fuel pump.
Crap still have to wire the fans. Always something.

Damn, your good! and I sure am glad, it wouldn't have been fun to take the tank down for nothing. Turns out I had used the stock hose coupler and the 2 plastic clamps. Took it off to replace it anyway, and there it was, a big split in the side of the hose. Off to pick up some new fuel inj. hose and hose clamps now.

i don't understand...if you had a split hose wouldn't there be gas driping?

It's inside the tank. The pump has a short piece of hose connecting it to the tube on the sending unit.

All back together runs great again
